I believe that we all have the capacity to run far, fast. It’s simply what humans evolved to do. Try to tell a runner feeling the flow that this isn’t what we were designed for and they will laugh in your face! Unfortunately, the modern world doesn’t require us to do it and so we are largely untrained and demotivated. But for us lucky bunch who have rediscovered our roots we know the joy that is held within running.

So how do we optimise our enjoyment of running while reaching our potential? I believe this lies in doing the simple things right and building consistency. There is no perfect workout that will develop fitness or speed overnight. Rather they are formed everyday when we decide to lace up our shoes and head out of the door. By making it a daily habit we tap back into our evolution and draw on one of our most basic instincts - to move.
